|| = || __ JOY RIDE
One of our neighbours had two mountain bikes take a joy ride. We’re not sure about the joy part, but they did take a ride.
The neighbour left her house on Monday for a short time. When she returned, the garage door was partially open. Two mountain bikes were missing. One is a Kona Mahana (blue, full size). The other is a Kona Honza (green, large).
The neighbour’s house is on 11th Ave in the 2500 block (towards the Crowchild end).
One of her neighbours has some footage of a guy snooping around her wood pile in the back around 2:20pm. He did not have any bikes though. Another neighbour saw a guy on his doorbell camera who was fiddling with a bike near his front steps. Unfortunately, his doorbell camera doesn’t record so he has nothing that can be shared.
The owner of the bikes was supposed to be taking her daughter to university in BC. Her van died on Thursday. Her other daughter’s car had a check engine light come on. And now this has also happened. We hope she gets some better news very soon.
Please check any outdoor cameras you have. Tell us if you saw (or see) anything that might help bring those bikes on a joy ride home.
Don’t forget, someone else recently had a bike disappear. It had regrets and came home quickly after neighbours helped neighbours figure it out and get it back. Check any recorded footage. Watch in your travels around SAH.
Note: The bike shared above is not one of the bikes (only used to illustrate the topic).
