Planning and Development
St. Andrews Heights is currently undergoing a significant amount of residential redevelopment. Many original homes dating from the 1950's are being moved or torn down to make room for new houses.
The Community Association is invited by the City of Calgary to comment on all developments requiring a development permit. The Community Association limits their comments to the impact of developments on the community as a whole. Comments regarding impacts specific to individual nearby properties are left to the affected property owners.
Redevelopment can occasionally cause friction between neighbours. The Community Association can help direct both sides to the appropriate City of Calgary planning, mediation, and enforcement resources but it does not take sides in disputes.
