Tool Bag Found

6/24/2022

This tool bag was found very early this morning. It was in the back alley near the corner of 11th Avenue and Toronto Cres. The person who found it (behind a property that is for sale) did not spend a lot of time looking through it, but it is very heavy. It might be stolen property. If you are the owner, or know who is, please let us know so we can help get everything back where it belongs.

Theft of Stroller

6/24/2022

Two different homeowners sent in video footage today of a person checking out their properties overnight. Screenshots were shared with both homeowners, who agreed it looked like the same individual. For one owner, this is the third prowler recently caught trying to get in their yard. The other owner had things stolen.

The two yards are at opposite ends of St Andrew's Heights. The second video was about an hour after the first. This might also mean he was in other yards overnight as well.

The second homeowner describes the prowler as follows:
Hair: light coloured, baseball cap/light coloured, short scruffy beard below his chin,
Top: light coloured jacket over a dark looking vest/wearing a back pack,
Bottom: long pants,
Shoes: shoes seemed to have wrapping,
Age: mid 30's?,
Sex: male,
Ethnicity: Caucasian,
Build: thin

He stole an Eddie Bauer stroller (used for the owner's dog who recently had hip surgery) and an air mattress that the owner was allowing to dry out on the porch after it was drenched in the rain.

Porch Pirate

This person was caught on Ring camera this afternoon. He was at a house on 12th Avenue. He walked up to the door, looked around, looked in the mailbox and front window, then leaned down and grabbed 2 packages. He then just casually walked away.

If you know who he is, or have other related info, please report to our Community Police Liaison Officer (contact below) -- or let us know, so we can share with the neighbour who reported. We apologize that we can't make the image clearer. There is also a more full-body image on our Facebook page.

This guy was caught on security camera in a neighbour’s yard. He appeared homeless. While he didn’t take anything, he seemed to be scouting. The neighbour wishes to alert others.

Soccer Camp for Kids

6/10/2022

The St. Andrew's Heights Community Association in conjunction with Triple Meg Soccer is offering a one-week long summer soccer camp for kids aged 6 to 12. This is a wonderful opportunity for your children (and you) to meet other neighbourhood children and parents!

Triple Meg has provided soccer programs in Calgary communities since 2010. Their Learn-to-Play programs provide a fun and positive environment for children to learn the fundamentals of soccer. Over the years they have had over 3,000 children attend their programs.

The camp runs from Monday, July 25 to Friday, July 29 from 9 am to 12 pm daily at the playing field beside the Chief Crowfoot School.

For more information and instructions on how to register please visit the SAH Soccer page.

Early morning prowlers

6/9/2022

Picture

These two were caught on security camera checking out a neighbour’s property. It was early morning on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. They scoped the garage and gate, though did not gain access. The neighbour is sharing in case someone else experienced a breakin or other loss / damage that these two might have caused elsewhere. We are astounded by their casual manner and willingness to scope properties in daylight hours (even if it was very early).

If you know who they are, or experienced an incident that might be related, please report to our Community Police Liaison Officer with the Calgary Police Service:

Constable Richard Marshall
